Marcus is brown with white and black trim. He is an AI breeding from a buck, Winterberry Mark Of Excellence, I had owned back many years ago at the start of this herd. Mark was a handsome strawberry roan with lovely long white ears. Mark did a lot in a short time. He was in the 1990, 1992, and 1993 USDA Sire Summary, top 15%, INBA 1993 Premier Sire and to date has 17 daughters with a final average score of 82. He had three GCH daughters in this herd, GCH Jesta Farm Mazie 2*M FS90,3-01 643 4286 203 4.7% 158 3.7%. Mazie was the third place intermediate kid, 1988, 9th place aged doe 1993 National Show. GCH Jesta Farm Pepper 3*M FS84, 3-00 334 2338 124 5.3%, 1991 Recorded Grade Breed Leader. GCH Jesta Farm Vanna 3*M FS88, 2-11 318 1820 88 4.8%, 7th place 4 year old Recorded Grade 1993 National Show. Winterberry Mark Of Excellence is also a full brother to GCH Winterberry Marvin's Carresse 4*M FS90, lifetime record at five years of age 1232 days, 12,604 milk, 577 fat, ++*B Winterberry Marvin's Flashpoint was a litter-brother to Caresse. Flashpoint was the highest ranked Nubian buck for type in the 1990 USDA sire Summary.
Marcus's dam, Magic Treasure, one of my favorite does, was again appraised 90 at 7 years, 5 months of age. A lovely doe who excels in general appearance. Magic Treasure has always shown very well too. She was the 5th place senior yearling (1997) and the 11th place 5 year old at the 2001 Nationals. As well as doing well in the show ring, she has been a good milker, 4-00 320 2253 108 4.8% 81 3.6%, 6-00 307 1951 97 5.0% 70 3.6%. Relatives on Magic's dam's side are GCH Jesta Farm Treasure Seeker 4*M FS88 (Seeker was the dam to the 23rd place 2 year old, 4th place junior kid, 1997 National Show). Seeker is also a daughter of GCH +*B Winterberry Image Of Bonzai FS90. Winterberry Image Of Bonzai is a son of Caresse, Mark's full sister.
